This lawned part of the garden has thousands of naturalised Cyclamen hederifolium. Around the base of the cedar Cyclamen graecum and Cyclamen persicum are growing.

 

 

Access Statement For Pencarn Garden

This statement is produced as part of our commitment to meeting the needs of visitors with any special requirements.

Introduction

We aim to cater for the needs of all visitors to our garden. The following statement is a summary of our provision. If you have any specific questions please feel free to call us and we will endeavour to help.

Pre-Arrival

There is a bus stop in the town centre five minutes walk away. The path from the town is steep rising 50 metres. There is an infrequent bus service
 The main train station (Bodmin Parkway) is 25 minutes away by car.
 Newquay International Airport is 20 minutes away by car.
 There is a local taxi service that has accessible taxis if required, we can make a booking for you.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

•On arrival at the property there are double entrance gates, these are open when the the garden is open.

 No marked parking bays but there is ample room for up to 5 cars
 The surface is level, flat and consists of concrete paviors.
 Wadebridge town centre is a few minutes steep walk from the garden.

Public Areas - WC

•There is a ground floor WC available- door width is 67cm.

Conservatory

•The Conservatory is on the ground floor. There are steps when gaining entry from the garden.
•Furniture is flexible and can be moved on request.
•Tables have underspace of 71cm high, table height of 73cm with central leg. There are chairs with arms and without which can be moved to accommodate.

 

Grounds and Gardens

We have a large, one acre garden, with extensive views over the town, river and countryside. The garden has flower borders, ponds, rock gardens and lawn, lots of benches available. The garden is on a slope with steps in some places but all parts (except the vegetable garden) are accessible via grassed ramps. The vegetable garden and greenhouses are accessed via a flight of stone steps without a handrail.
