Pencarn - The Cyclamen Garden in Wadebridge, Cornwall.
We are in Wadebridge just 5 minutes walk from the town centre.
We are close to Padstow, Rock, Polzeath and Daymer Bay.
The house and garden are accesible by pedestrians from the town via the footpath to Bodieve accessed from Bradfords Quay. Alternatively there is a steep track up from Gonvena Hill adjacent to the Ship Inn car park. These both give easy access to the house and garden from the Camel Trail.
The old Cornish fishing port of Padstow is just 5 miles away. The Camel Estuary is world famous as a winter and summer feeding site for migratory and resident birds. We get as a result interesting birds in the garden. A resident buzzard regularly takes song birds and pidgeons. A kingfisher takes baby goldfish and golden orfe.
Margaret and Trevor invite you to visit our pleasant garden with its stunning town and estuary views. Pencarn is situated within the old market town of Wadebridge. The town centre car parks are only five minutes walk away through the garden. The garden adjoins open farmland to the west. As a consequence the house and garden enjoy panoramic views over the town and the rolling landscape.

The town has good shops, a cinema, public park with tennis courts and bowls facilities. There is a sports centre with swimming pool. There are a good range of pubs and restaurants. Pony trekking is available locally and bicycles may be hired to explore the Camel Trail to Padstow, Bodmin and St. Breward.
Wadebridge is only a few miles from the beautiful sandy beaches on either side of the Camel Estuary and the surfing beaches of the Atlantic.
Rock and Polzeath are about 5 miles away and Padstow 9 miles by road-only 5 miles by bicycle along the Camel Trail. The Eden Project is about 12 miles away.
Access to Pencarn by car is by a private unmade lane serving a few select houses.
We first moved to Wadebridge in 1979 and have a wealth of local knowledge. We know the area and can direct your walks or cycle rides to points of interest all year round.
